Several decisions have been taken regarding the Italian Rally Championship in the meeting of the ACI CSAI Executive Committee held yesterday. The summary of the main points follow.

The 31st edition of the Rally Costa Smeralda, scheduled for the weekend 26-27 October 2012 will be deferred.

The Italian Rally Championship has been decided in Sanremo. The Italian Junior Rally Championship went to the Sicilians Andrea Nucita and Giuseppe Princiotto on Citroen C2 Max. The win of the race went to Basso - Dotta, on Ford Fiesta RRC.

Matteo Gamba could not take part in the second leg of the 32nd Rally San Martino di Castrozza e Primiero due to a sabotage to his car happened during the night in park fermè.
ACI CSAI decided to transmit all the acts to the Federal Prosecutor's Office ahead of the official investigation.

ACI CSAI is obviously at the Bench's disposal to help shading full light on this serious episode.

Alessandro Perico at the 19th Rally Adriatico 2012

Alessandro Perico will be at the start of the 19th Rally Adriatico (18-19 May 2012), the third round of the Italian Rally Championship. The strong driver from Bergamo, will line up on a Peugeot 207 S2000 belonging to PA RACING, with his co-driver Fabrizio Carrara. The car is the same employed for the Rally of Ciocco, where Perico ended third, and for the Rally 1000 Miglia where he had to retire due to an incident during stage six when he was third absolute very close to the proceeding cars and well within the fight for the top step of the podium.
